As a valued member of the APPMA, we would like to communicate the decision of the Board, to postpone AUSPACK 2021 to 17 – 20 May 2022 in Melbourne.
While this decision was not an easy one to make, the APPMA Board believe it is the right thing to do from the perspective of members, exhibitors, sponsors, attendees and the industry.
We understand this decision and announcement will raise many questions. With that in mind, I would like to assure all members that a great deal of planning has been undertaken to both provide clarity and answers to questions raised and to ensure the Exhibitor transition to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, from Sydney Showgrounds, occurs as smoothly as possible. Details of the transition processes will be communicated to all exhibitors by ETF, our exhibition organisers, as part of their communications program.
We have worked with Lindy Hughson from Yaffa Media to produce a Podcast comprising an interview with myself aimed at answering as many questions as possible. I encourage all members to listen when you have the time.
In addition, we have included a range of FAQ’s on the APPMA and AUSPACK websites. Members can always also contact the APPMA office to discuss any specific questions.
While it is disappointing to postpone the exhibition, it is also exciting to be returning to Melbourne. The last edition of AUSPACK in 2019 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre was a record show, surpassing all expectations. Melbourne 2022 is ideally placed to provide the scale and breadth of event that our industry needs as it gears up for the post-COVID recovery.
